FAQ
Logistics
How long does shipping take?
Items are shipped next day. Shipping takes about one week, or 5 business days.
What is the refund policy?
No refunds, unless it is proven that the package is (1) lost or (2) damaged.
1. When a package is considered lost:
- The tracking shows “delivered,” but the package was sent to the wrong address, confirmed by DHL.
2. When a package is considered damaged:
- It shows signs of physical, environmental, or integrity compromise that affects its contents and usability.
If condition 1, 2, or both are satisfied with proof (see below), a full refund will be issued.
If I return a product, do I bear the shipping cost?
1. For customer-initiated returns, the customer bears the shipping cost.
2. For defective products, we will cover the shipping cost.
Is there full tracking provided for products in-delivery?
We coordinate with DHL Global Forwarding, and provide full tracking.
Beans
Where are your vanilla beans sourced from?
Our vanilla beans are sourced from Aamondini Farms in Cianjur, West Java, Indonesia. We work closely with our partners to ensure ethical and sustainable practices.
Are your vanilla beans organic or sustainably grown?
Yes, our beans are certified organic and grown using sustainable farming methods.
What’s the difference between Grade A and Grade B vanilla beans?
Grade A beans are higher-quality. They are moist, plump, and ideal for cooking or baking. Grade B beans are drier and shorter, but perfect for making homemade extracts and infusions.
How long are your vanilla beans, and why does that matter?
Our vanilla beans typically range from 16-23cm in length, depending on the origin and grade. Longer pods tend to be higher-quality and yield more vanilla.
Usage
How long do vanilla beans last?
If properly stored, Grade A beans can last up to 12–18 months.
Can I reuse vanilla beans after using them once?
Yes. After scraping, you can simmer the pod in milk or cream, or dry it and add it to sugar for homemade vanilla sugar.
How do I store my whole vanilla beans?
Keep them in an airtight container in a cool, dark place, not the refrigerator. Exposure to air, heat, or light can dry them out or cause mold.
How do I use whole vanilla beans in cooking or baking?
Slice the bean lengthwise and scrape out the seeds with a knife. Add both seeds and pod to your recipe for maximum flavor. Check out our blog for more info.
